How do I install it?

Unarchive the files into a folder of your choice.

How do I run it?

Launch by double-clicking on "optiflash.exe"

Error message "err_bad_content"?

On the "Flash and Verify" tab, you have selected the flash option "S-Record with Contents" but do not have a .cts file. Select "S-Record only" and try again.

Error message "err_bad_srec_addr"?

You are trying to flash a .sre file and have not removed reserved memory addresses first. Follow the guide here.

Why do I get a message to power up the handset?

This usually happens for the same reason as the error message "err_bad_srec_addr" above.

My handset powers up part way through the flash process?

Usually, this is because you have left the handset in flash mode (by pressing * and power on) too long before starting the flash process. Power it off and start again.

Can you create a patch for me?

Abslutely not. Unless, of course, you wish to pay me loads of money :)

What does applying a patch/mod change?

Only whatever the author says it will change. The available patches only change graphics and/or sounds in firmware but leave the programming alone. On the other hand, reflashing with full firmware will replace the existing programming totally.
